Alliance of Hope

A nonprofit support organization offering a place to find connection, information, and hope for those grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide. It offers a 24/7 moderated support forum and resources at no cost. Specialized support groups available with a fee.

The Compassionate Friends

A nonprofit organization that provides grief support services for families grieving the death of a child, sibling, or grandchild, with local in-person state-by-state chapters as well as online support groups.

A nonprofit organization that provides peer grief support groups, resources, and training for children and teens coping with the death of a loved one. Offers safe, supportive spaces locally and nationally at no cost.

Dougy Center

First Candle

A nonprofit organization that works to prevent sleep-related infant deaths such as SIDS, while also providing bereavement support, resources, and advocacy for families who have experienced the loss of a baby at no cost.

GriefShare

Offers 13-week virtual/online support groups, featuring video seminars and discussions for those coping with the loss of a loved one. Sessions are free or low-cost (scholarships available), depending on the type and location.

The National Alliance for Children’s Grief

A nonprofit organization that provides grief support resources and connections to local services for children and adolescents coping with the death of a loved one at no cost. Memberships and conference attendance available with a fee.

National Share

A nonprofit organization that offers free, virtual, and in-person support groups for families navigating the profound grief of pregnancy loss, stillbirth, and infant loss. Local chapters available across many states at no cost.

MISS Foundation

A nonprofit organization that provides counseling, advocacy, peer support, and bereavement resources for families grieving the death of a child. Both online and local in-person chapters are available nationwide at no cost. Specialized services are available for a fee (scholarships available).

SAD DADS CLUB

A nonprofit support organization and global community for men who have experienced the death of a child, including miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, or the loss of older children. Founded in Maine by three bereaved fathers, the group provides peer support, virtual meetings, and financial coverage for professional therapy.

SIDS America

A faith-based nonprofit organization that provides a variety of services and support to families who have experienced the loss of a baby due to SIDS, with resources available by state at no cost. Financial assistance available.

Star Legacy Foundation

A nonprofit organization that provides support groups, bereavement resources, education, and research advocacy for families affected by pregnancy loss, stillbirth, and infant loss, with both online and local peer support programs available nationwide at no cost.

SUDC Foundation

A nonprofit organization that provides grief support, advocacy, and research funding for families affected by Sudden Unexpected Death in Childhood (SUDC), while working to raise awareness and improve understanding of these unexplained child deaths at no cost.

The TEARS Foundation

A nonprofit organization that provides emotional support, grief resources, and financial assistance to families who have experienced pregnancy, infant, or child loss, including help with funeral costs and ongoing bereavement care.
